Hello,
I am Marc and I am a student in Psychology from The Hague, the Netherlands. Yes, you read it right; I am a student again ! After years of work in the field of law, international contacts, organisational issues and human resource management I said: enough is enough ! I want more inspiration, more meaning, more passion; it should be more me. A lot is learned in all those years, especially on where there is room for improvement – in me and in the environment I work and live in. But you can not continue reflecting without taking action.
I went to Vancouver, Canada for half a year and decided to work on a second academic degree to enable me to put all this reflecting into practice – no longer a lawyer, now an industrial and organisational psychologist. And also time to nurture some of my other passions. I wrote an e-book on my experiences in Canada and I have started not one but two weblogs: em2psychoatwork.wordpress.com and em2inthehague.wordpress.com (check them out). Later on my own consulting business will follow … or an interesting employer might be lucky enough to hire me.
Travelling unfortunately has to stay on the backburner for a while; money is tight now I am studying. But Holland can be beautiful as well and I have got enough friends left around the globe who I can pay a visit. And when times get rough I can always go inside and seek solace in yoga and meditation.
It’s going slowly, but we will get there !
